Prince George and Master Frederick – royal friends and secret brothers

Rosalind has published a novel – Prince George & Master Frederick – which is a work of fiction about a real person. Frederick Blomberg was the secret son of King George III who, in 1765, at the age of four, was adopted into the royal family and brought up as a prince. He became best friends with his half-brother Prince George (the future Prince Regent and King George IV). Yet historians have barely paid any attention to his fascinating story. The early part of Frederick’s life was spent within the royal household at Richmond and Kew, so there are very strong local links to the local area.
